Abstract
Correspondent bias is one important topic in western social psychology. Whether this phenomenon also existed in other cultures is of general concern. This paper reviewed the cross-cultural researches on correspondent bias, analyzed the problems in those researches, and pointed out that the present cross-cultural research on correspondent bias was too weak to make conclusions. Three suggestions on this future research were raised: (1) combining emic research and etic research; (2) measuring the implicit theory directly; (3) paying attention to comparative research among subcultures.
