Abstract
Effects of symbolic compatibility between cue and stimulus were investigated within a precueing paradigm when there was no stimulus-response compatibility. The results showed that the compatibility effects appeared when the cue and stimulus was dimensionally overlapped, and the effects were affected by the time duration between them and the probability of the cues.
