Public Libraries and Lifelong Learning (Article written in chinese)

Abstract

The main goal of public libraries has always been to be a place for lifelong learning. To meet the needs of lifelong learning in the information age, public libraries must have a brand new service strategies and service environment. From the context of lifelong learning and the style of networked learning, we study the relation between public libraries and lifelong learning and we make suggestions on the following: (1) activities and resources for lifelong learning which public libraries should provide, (2) adjustments and improvements in network, collection and manpower of public libraries.
