Chien-I LEE

Abstract

This research was to analyze learners’ communication processes and distinguish different learning effects through learning logs which could be automatically recorded on the Net Project-based learning system. Content analysis was used to determine what learners discussed and network analysis was used to determine communication patterns. The research results showed that (1) there are few differences among the learning groups. Most communication is apt to be “social” with communication concerning learning less than 20%. The “high learning effect” groups prevail in “proof”, whereas the “middle learning groups” & “low learning groups” prevail in “response”; (2) as for the network analysis, the “high learning effect” groups are apt to be “Fragmented, cliques”. The “low learning effect” groups are apt to be “approximately idea”.
