AbstractDiscussion teaching method is a way of teaching and learning in which a lot of students' positive involvement and changing of ideas among themselves are used.The aim of this article is to investigate the meaning, forms and functions of the above method.It also deals with the value, methods and the examples of applying this method to the teaching of Chinese.Finally, the advantages and limitations of the discussion teaching method will also be discussed.
