Selecting and Evaluating CD-ROMs: A Public School Media Specialist’s Perspective

Abstract

In order to move a public school media center or library from a print collection to one that offers print and electronic materials such as CD-ROMs requires careful planning and organization. For some media specialists and librarians it can be a time of stress and anxiety. There are many questions, concerns and needs that must be taken into consideration. Thoughtful selection and evaluation of CD-ROMs helps create an integrated collection.
