Abstract
The development of comprehensive models, target application areas, cohorts and mentoring approaches, has been vital to technology integration within the University of Central Florida College of Education. Recently, a two-day faculty technology retreat brought over 100 faculty together in a technology learning community. Faculty members received permanent technology resource binders to facilitate post-retreat developmental growth. A new Introduction to Technology course for undergraduates has been linked with faculty development initiatives providing student-driven advocacy for faculty technology integration: A model prevalent in K-12 schools. A faculty and staff development lab, staffed by graduate and student assistants, provides ongoing formal and informal technology support. Fostering of commercial partnerships and coordination with university-wide initiatives have also proven to be vital components of a successful developmental growth strategy.
