Beatrice O. AGINGU & Cathi Mack COOPER

Abstract

Librarians have always found innovative ways to reach, and also collaborate with faculty in order to achieve student learning, for example through Bibliographic Instruction, Freshman Orientation, or Collection Development. This article describes some strategies used by librarians at South Carolina State University to inform faculty members about the library’s electronic resources and services, as well as collaborate with them to teach students how to utilize these resources and services. It is based on a paper presented at the Georgia Council of Media Organizations and Southeastern Library Association 2000 Joint Conference.
