Valuable Online Tools for E-teachers: HTML and XML

Abstract

As distance education reaches the information gates of US institutions, public and private, asking for wireless access and adoption. A beg that seems to find a way into a comfortable and, maybe, a lasting residence in many of these welcoming institutions. E-educators, IT professionals, and decision makers are the first ones to seek ways of utilizing these promising technologies as tools to effectively design and implement e-learning in their academic programs to reach higher number of students and at a distance. This paper aims at presenting its readers with effectual practices of using current state-of-the-art online tools, Hyper Text Marked Up Language (HTML) and Extended Mark Up Language (XML), as cognitive and pragmatic online tools for effective distance education communication and quality instructional delivery. The authors of this paper hope that e-educators, IT trainers, and decision makers find the information presented in this article valuable when designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating future online instructional systems for a variety of educational purposes.
