Abstract
As teachers, information specials, instructional consultants, and managers of school library media centers, school library media specialists need to know some basics about the gifted learners. This article explains and debunks some of the myths or misconceptions about gifted and talented children and adolescents. Resources about the gifted such as Websites, professional organizations, professional periodicals, and listservs are also included.
