e-Tutor: Definitions, Roles and Professional Competencies (Article written in chinese)

Abstract

E-tutors become essential and required faculty for implementing a successful e-Learning course. This paper aims to define meaning, roles and professional competencies for an e-tutor in e-Learning curriculum. Literature review including related studies and on-line training courses abroad are analyzed in order to synthesize the competencies. This paper is useful for e-Learning courseware developers in higher education as well as e-Learning industries because it helps to set up the criterions of professional e-tutor competence.
