Integration of Information Literacy into Elementary Social Studies: The Application of Digital Resources (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

Due to the fast explosion of information, information literacy education is an important topic for schools. The purposes of this study were twofold: 1. to develop an integrated information literacy curriculum in the social studies on the basis of Big6 model, 2. to investigate the possibility of application of digital resources from the sake of teachers and students. The research results show that teachers and students have positive attitudes toward the curriculum. The two digital web sites are helpful to the inquiry, but there are some weaknesses which should be improved. There are 8 suggestions proposed to the design and production of digital web sites.
