CD-ROM based information retrieval systems, which have been used in academic libraries since the late 1980's, are now being found in many high school library media centers. The purpose of this study was to determine if students who use the CD-ROM database found more articles in less time than those who used the print version of the Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature and if they were more satisfied with this search method.
