EVALUATION OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE DISTANCE EDUCATION PROJECT

Abstract
Technological innovations in telecomputing and distance education provide new challenges for program evaluators. This article discussed the evaluation of an Environmental Science Distance Education pilot, the WETLANDS, that linked teachers and students in twenty-six schools across the United States. Successes, difficulties, and barriers to using technology to enhance students' learning are identified.
