Using an Instructional Design Model for Developing a Multlmedia CAI Courseware

Abstract
This article outlined a systematic instructional design modei for developing a multimedia computer-aided instruction (CAI) courseware. The model illustrated roles and tasks as two dimensions necessary in a CAI production teamwork. Four major components (Analysis, Design, Development, and Revise/Evaluation) following by totally 25 steps are provided. Eight roles with each competent skills were identified. The model will be uselul in serving as a framework for developing a multimedia CAI courseware for educators, instructional designers and CAI industry developers.
