USING DISTANCE EDUCATION TO PROMOTE TEACHER AWARENESS OF THE FLORIDA HOLOCAUST EDUCATION MANDATE

Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to report on the design, development, and delivery of an interactive television class on the use of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Central Florida (HMRECCF) as a source of materials for educators attempting to satisfy the provisions of the Florida Holocaust Education Mandate. This class was presented using two-way audio/one-way video technology. Delivery technologies included nation-wide KU band satellite and local instructional television fixed service (ITFS).
