Abstract

This study investigates the coordination between the core curriculums of recurrent education and the requirements and motivations of students pursuing further education. The students examined were sampled from the MIS Department of Kun-Shan University of Technology. The curriculums include both the 2 and 4-year, night school and in-service education programs of the technology college, and the 2-year continuing education program of the junior college in that university. Also, this study collected student personal information and perceptions regarding the practicability and learning difficulties of these curriculums. The motivations of students of different ages, genders, education backgrounds, salaries and jobs from different school systems were analyzed using Chi-square test while the perceived practicability and learning difficulties were analyzed using ANOVA.
