Abstract
This study focused on overall system of simulating motivation responses of student performance. Using qualitative (system thinking) and quantitative (system dynamics) approach to transfer Roderick and Engels paper (2001) into a conceptual and a mathematic models. We found out that structure of the system was composed of three reinforced loops (self efficacy, meaning of learning, and effort increase resources loops) and an effort balanced loop. Different viewpoints including time, fairness, matching level between policy and learning goal, and students characteristics also used to discuss their relation with students learning behavior.
