The Levels of Analysis on Semantic Relations between Nouns and Verbs in Chinese (Article written in chinese)

SHEN Yang

Abstract

This paper discusses some fundamental issues from various aspects on the analysis of semantic relations between nouns and verbs in syntactic structures in Chinese, such as the semantic types, the semantic combinations, the semantic focuses, the semantic features, the semantic orientations and the semantic implicates. The paper points out that the N-V semantic analysis may be started from any angles, each of which can be operated independently; and these angles may also be regarded as different levels, each of which can be derived out one after another. The works and the methods mentioned above are necessary to the semantic studies and the computational semantic processing in Chinese.
