The Dialectal Subconscious Emotion and Ways of Guiding and Restricting It (Article written in chinese)

YAN Ronggeng

Abstract

“Dialectal subconscious emotion” refers to a kind of psychological and social phenomenon in which those who speak some kind of dialect may instinctively and unrealistically think that only the dialect of their own is superior and so discriminate against and even exclude other dialects and their own national common language. This paper discusses the essential differences between dialects and the national language and between the dialectal subconscious emotion and the common language emotion. It also proves that the bottom of the dialectal subconscious emotion is the emotion of their common language. It is absolutely necessary and possible for us to give effective guidance and set powerful restriction to the dialectal subconscious emotion by means of public opinion, administration, benefits, etc. so that we can popularize the common Chinese language more quickly and more decisively.
