Abstract
New Approaches to Language Learning, written by Professor Li Xingjian, was published by Shanxi People Education Publishing House in April, 1997. It consists of 65 articles, under 9 headings, namely, “Introduction”, “Vocabulary and Vocabulary Standardization”, “Lexicography”, “Dialectology”, “Grammar”, “Rhetoric”, “Philology”, “Language Use” and “Well-known Linguists’ Biographies”. It is another collection of papers succeeding his two books, The Summary of Learning and Using Words (1988) and A Collection of Papers in Language Learning (1991). It is an important new linguistic work with extensive research scope and profound analysis.
