Abstract
Child language acquisition is closely related to general cognitive development. His semantic acquisition is simultaneous with conceptual development. The semantic growth is characterized by a gradual progress from simple to complex, from rough to refined. The cognitive growth is characterized by conceptual categorization, from discovering and representing the superficiality to the comprehensive complexity and relationships. The child linguistic level reflects his cognitive level.
