Abstract
This paper is an introduction to A Valency-Based Chinese Semantic Dictionary (VCSD). It consists of the following four parts: (1) The background of the development of VCSD; (2) A framework of representation of Chinese semantic information; (3) The implementation of VCSD; and (4) Evaluation and prospect.
