DENG Jingbin

Abstract

Based on the result of statistics and analysis of the use of the end-text mark in 151 magazines published the mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao of China, this paper suggests that an “end-text mark” should be employed. The author has made a proposal on the name, symbol and placement of this mark. It is hoped that the paper could arouse the attention of the linguistic circles on the standardization of the end-text mark which is suitable to the psychology of readers so as to enhance their reading efficiency.
