Abstract

The role of large-scale corpora is becoming more and more important, as further studies in natural language processing are carried out. Since the emergence of the famous Brown Corpus developed in the United States in the 70s, there have been a number of corpora developed all around the world.

Based on the raw text of the People’s Daily, Fujitsu Research & Development Center and the Institute of Computational Linguistics, Peking University, have jointly developed a large-scale Chinese corpus, which is one of the largest tagged corpora in the world.
