Main Characteristics and Basic Experiences of the Research on Language Use in the 90s in China (Article written in chinese)

Abstract

The study of language use in the 1990s in China is reviewed and summarized in this paper. First, it analyzes the innovative significance of the study to the development of linguistics. Secondly, it expounds the characteristics of such study in terms of the object, methodology and forms of organization. Thirdly, to sum up the basic experiences of the study, it points out emphatically that it is necessary to intensify the viewpoint of “putting theory into practice” and awareness of the problems that we are facing.
