Chinese Words: Their Use in Choosing Brand Names for Commodities (Article written in chinese)

Abstract

Naming is a language art. With the competition for markets is getting fiercer and fiercer, producers have become more and more concerned about the effects of names of their products. This paper attempts to probe into the characteristics of word usage in brand names of commodities, in the light of the commonly used words chosen for brand names of commodities and their features and expressiveness. It is hoped that the effects and value of words in the exchange of commodities could be recognized.
