Abstract
Languages for tour guides have broad sense and narrow sense. In narrow sense, it refers to the phraseology of tour guides. The studies of languages for tour guides belong to sociolinguistics, which focus on professional jargon, have comprehensive and overlapping characteristics in studies. The purpose of studies is to explore and bring to light the characteristics and laws of languages for tour guides. The object of studies includes modes of communication, context, code-selecting and so on. The method of studies can be methodology of linguistics, sociolinguistics, or of general sciences in which statistical and comparative methods are more important.
