A Practical View on the Issues of Putonghua Education in Hong Kong (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

Under the political premise of “one country, two systems”, the HKSAR Government has implemented the policy of “biliteracy and trilingualism.” After the handover back to China, Putonghua is playing an important role in the community. More and more people in Hong Kong are learning Putonghua. Addressing the current status of “biliteracy and trilingualism”, this article discusses the problems and reflections concerning Putonghua Education in Hong Kong under the rule of “one country, two systems”. It also puts forward suggestions for “Putonghua promotion”.
