Abstract
Problems of bilingualism and bidialectalism were seriously considered in questionnaire design, survey proceeding, data collection, and statistic processing in the Survey of Language Situation in China, an important investigations for national conditions¡PConcrete methods and ideas are introduced, and the definitions of bilingualism and bidialectalism and the counting method of their types are also discussed. It concludes that the general plan must be beneficial to further studies by researchers with different views.
