Some Problems Concerning the Transliteration of Chinese Names in Academic Periodical (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

Some national departments concerned have long before promulgated a series of rules with respect to the transliteration of Chinese names. Moreover, internationallyˇAChinese phonetic alphabet is regarded as the only criterion for the Romanization of Chinese. However, in some academic periodicals at home or abroad, the transliteration of Chinese names shows in various forms which are contrary to the national prescription. Citing and analyzing numerous concrete forms of transliteration, the essay points out the various reasons leading to such phenomenon, with a view to drawing the attention of the academic circles.
