A Comment on General Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Plan (Article written in Chinese)

WANG Lyta

Abstract

The article analyzes the defects and self-contradictions in General Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Plan, Taiwan (GCPAP) on alphabet-pronunciation disposition and alphabet design, and argues that the alteration which GCPAP has made on Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Plan (CPAP) is entirely futile. Through the analyses, the article illustrates that GCPAP is not mature academically, and is not sagacious pragmatically.

Keywords: General Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Plan; Chinese Phonetic Alphabet Plan; alphabet design
