Abstract

ปล (kú) is a popular word in Chinese as transliterated from the English slang of “cool”. Its major meanings include unconcern, serious, beautiful, tasteful, fashionable, with distinct individuality, alternative, masculine, and free and easy, which is not exactly the same as the original in English.
