Abstract
The paper makes an overall review and analysis of the theoretical problems, the main viewpoints and the latest development in the study of the normalization of neologism: 1) The language normalization in the new era has a great change, some new concepts are also presented. 2) The general principle and detailed regulations in the normalization of neologism. 3) The new ideas of calque and stratification of the normalization of acronym. 4) The positive effect of loan words in Chinese, the absorption of words used in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other dialects to Chinese vocabulary, and some ideas on the normalization of the neologisms used on the Internet and its deviation from the current norm.
