The Constitution and Classification of Context (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

This article discusses, mainly from the pragmatic point of view, the theoretical issues concerning the constitution and classification of context. The author puts forward, from a dynamic viewpoint, the criteria to distinguish the constitutive factors, and defines the range of context analysis and research. Based on the principles of being thorough, hierarchical, and concise, he further classifies the numerous contextual factors into three major types: in-language context, by-language context, and ex-language context. This article also briefly introduces the main characteristics of the aforesaid three kinds of context.
