Abstract
The essay elaborates the peculiarities of color lexeme normalization and the reflections on them from the following two aspects: 1) Color lexeme is a “special field” in Contemporary Chinese normalization. 2) Color lexeme normalization longs for pragmatic principles. The essay further points out that the discussion of color lexeme normalization enables us to view the actual performance of Contemporary Chinese normalization from a microscopic perspective. Meanwhile, the reflection on the pragmatic principles in normalization can be used as a positive support in the transformation of Contemporary Chinese normalization from a static way to a dynamic one.
