Abstract
It is difficult to realize automatic recognition in natural language processing of a common Chinese construction pattern of “V [double syllables] + N [double syllables]”. Based on the syntactic study of language, this article makes use of a large-size corpus and analyzes the conditions of forming the modificative pattern of “V [double syllables] + N [double syllables]”and puts forward some rules in the automatic recognition of this pattern. This paper also gives an evaluation of these rules.
