Abstract
Foreign language reading anxiety is a phenomenon related to, but distinct from general foreign language learning anxiety. This paper surveys 30 European and American students as compared to 60 Japanese and Korean students, and gives an analysis of their respective characteristics of the distribution of anxiety. Based on the above analysis, some teaching strategies are proposed.
