A Critique of “Standardized Graphs of the Chinese Character” in Taiwan (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

In Taiwan, researches on the standardized graphic forms of the Chinese character were initiated in 1972 and “Principles for Developing Standardized Graphs of the Chinese Character” were formulated in 1996 to prescribe the standard graphic signs of 160 components. The present paper makes a comparative analysis and critique of the 68 components that differ from the standards as established in the mainland China in the hope of providing reference for working out “A List of Standardized Chinese Characters”.
