Abstract
“NP + time-quantity phrase + le” refers to such kind of oral structure as “fugi sannian le”, and “chehuo jitian le”. The semantic characteristic of NP, which can be grouped into 5 types, is [+ variational] and [+ specialized]. The time-quantity phrase can be used to express three kinds of time, which are the time of NP lasting, the time after NP happening and the detailed period of time of NP. The structure of “NP + time-quantity phrase + le” is coherent. The emphasis, semantically, of a compound sentence dose not lie on the structure of “NP + time-quantity phrase + le”, but on the other part of this compound sentence. And also the emphasized sense is usually unreasonable.
