Abstract
This paper points out the main problems on teaching Putonghua (´¶³q¸Ü) in Hong Kong, such as the position of Putonghua in curriculum of primary and secondary schools; teaching Chinese Pinyin («÷µ) system; the focal points of teaching, the textbooks, the development of Putonghua language sense and also gives the suggestions to the above issues.
