Abstract
This paper points out the main problems on teaching “Putonghua” (´¶³q¸Ü) in Hong Kong, such as the position of Putonghua in curriculum of primary and secondary schools; teaching Chinese “Pinyin” («÷µ) system; the focal points of teaching, the textbooks, the development of Putonghua language sense and also gives the suggestions to the above issues.
