The Language Planning in Contemporary China (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

The language planning in contemporary China is characterized by continuity and phase nature. The major content of the language planning is carried on the content of the innovation movement of Chinese language in late Qing Dynasty. The content is divided in two stages obviously. The earlier stage gives first place to language status planning and the later stage to language corpus planning. The article discusses the content, movement, method, effect, etc. of the language planning of Chinese language and the minority languages of these two stages, and evaluates the language planning in contemporary China.
