Two Principled Problems for the Standardization of Punctuation (Article written in Chinese)

GUO Pan

Abstract

The author holds that the relation between subjective volition and objective reference, and the relation between abstraction and concretion are two principled problems in the standardization process of punctuation. To solve the problems, we should give priority of rationality over emotion, of science over humanity, and of subjective volition over objective reference. Moreover, we should solve in different ways the problems of different nature at different levels according to the actual context.

Keywords: subjective volition; objective reference; abstraction; concretion
