Abstract
There are various features of disadvantaged roles polite speech in power relationship, such as courteous attitude; frequent polite speech; concurrent use of positive politeness and negative politeness; not taking up ones shortcomings directly; paying more attention to direct relations with cautious and solemn words; not scrambling for discourse domination etc. The formation of these features is restricted by three factors approximately: traditional standard of proprieties, real interests, self- moral-cultivations and individual characters.
