Abstract
This article discusses the modern Chinese sentence-completing category constituted by the sentence-completing element and the sentence-completing method, based on the Chinese errors of foreign students. The sentence-completing category may be regarded as the generalized modality of Chinese. It plays the vital role in the process of transforming the non-self sufficient sentence into the self sufficient sentence. Discussion of the constitution and the function of sentence-completing category, not only is helpful to the understanding of Chinese construable sentence process, but also of the question of the Chinese form and meaning co-verified, and to improve the teaching Chinese as a second language.
