Abstract
This paper explores that introducing explanation and quizzing position have influence on overseas students hearing Chinese long talk or speak. The result indicates that introducing explanation promotes hearing comprehension of inferring information of hearing materials, if overseas students are familiar with them. It promotes hearing comprehension of main information and inferring information of hearing materials, if overseas students are not familiar with them. The result also indicates pre-quizzing position promotes hearing comprehension of detail information of hearing materials, if overseas students are familiar with them. Pre-quizzing position promotes hearing comprehension of main information and inferring information of hearing materials, post-quizzing position promotes hearing comprehension of detailed information of hearing materials, if overseas students are not familiar with them.
