On the Inherited Morpheme in Modern Chinese Word Formation (Article written in Chinese)

Abstract

Inherited morpheme is a unique classification in Chinese morphemes. This paper analyzes the usage and characteristics of inherited morpheme in modem Chinese word formation based on some ones concerning human body. The article points out that the inherited morpheme has some distinct features: 1) its historical inheritance character in semantic meaning and word formation; 2) its elegant nature of written language in type of writing; 3) its conditionality coming from some word formation rules and factors concerned.
