Abstract
The understanding about the position of grammar teaching in the field of Chinese education experiences a devious course. In our opinions, now it has already been hypercorrect and lost its way. Mother tongue acquisition is a process containing both acquisition and acquirement which combine with and boost each other. The cultivation of linguistic awareness is naturally very important, but we cannot deny the value of grammar teaching. The key to this problem is what to teach and how to teach. The article emphasizes on how to teach. Based on defining the goal-orientation, it proposes the pedagogy system of the three combination, namely the combination of theory and practice, of static and dynamic state, of showing correctness and correcting errors.
