Abstract
Examinees from Hong Kong often made errors in the speaking part of PSC (Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi, 普通話水平測試). Adopting the theory of inter-language and with adequate samples from history data, we identified four types of errors, which included word, grammar, cohesion, and pragmatic. Moreover, explanations on why such errors occur as well as advices for teaching Putonghua in Hong Kong were also provided.
