Abstract
Through an investigation on Wuhan public knowledge of language legislation and peoples language life, we have reached a primary understanding of the popularization of Chinas language policy and the effects of their official implementation. This paper suggests that language policy be integrated into the national education of its legal knowledge, its patriotism, and linguistic situation, through the popularization of Hanyu Pinyin (漢語拼音). Thus based on elementary education, the language quality and legal awareness of the public will be improved.
